Your Aquatherm Dealer will design your solar heating system to achieve the desired pool temperature and swim season. A properly designed and installed system can raise your pool temperature up to 15° F (8° C).
Specialized solar thermal panels made of durable polypropylene, called collectors, are installed on a roof or ground rack so that they will receive 6-8 hours of sun per day.
Your Dealer will integrate the system with your pool’s existing filtration and automation equipment, providing a seamless and efficient heating process.
A typical system can be installed in less than one day by an experienced crew.
Step 2: Effortless Operation
The heart of your solar pool heating system is smart automation. If your pool doesn’t already have an automation system, your Aquatherm Dealer can recommend and install one to suit your needs.
While manual operation is possible (and popular for smaller above-ground pools), automating your solar heater ensures optimal heat gain and prevents your pool from overheating, making it worry-free.
When the sun is shining, a valve directs pool water to the solar collectors, where it’s naturally warmed before flowing back into your pool.
When conditions aren’t right for solar heating, the system automatically bypasses the collectors, so you never have to worry about monitoring or adjusting anything.
