Aquatherm Industries, Inc., the nation’s largest manufacturer of swimming pool solar heaters, announced today it has appointed Dennis Esposito, owner of Performance Solar in Escondido, CA, as a manufacturer’s representative for its newest product, the Ultrasun Solar Pool Heater, in the states of California and Arizona, as well as within Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Dennis Esposito and Performance Solar have been synonymous with solar pool heating in the southern California marketplace for 20 years,” says Dave Sizelove, President and CEO of Aquatherm. “This next step for Dennis and his team at Performance follows the Aquatherm model of taking a successful retail organization and using their accumulated knowledge and experience to develop a Dealer Network.”
The newest of Aquatherm’s “flagship brands,” the Ultrasun panel was introduced in 2012 under limited release, and has been well-received within the industry. Several innovations in solar pool heater design make Ultrasun dramatically different from its predecessors, and have earned the product three U.S. Patents. The panel’s key difference lies in the header-to-tube connection, by which the header manifold is insert-molded around the absorber plate, by way of a patented “stem-block.” This stem-block is permanently embedded in the absorber plate’s riser tubes, and acts as an expansion/contraction bridge between the header and absorber. The manufacturer’s patented process of venting the absorber plate, by which no material is removed from the panel, results in maximum surface area while still offering the benefits of roof-ventilation and wind-load relief in extreme weather conditions.
The relationship between Aquatherm Industries and Mr. Esposito’s Performance Solar dates back 18 years to 1995, when Performance began selling and installing the manufacturer’s Ecosun Solar Pool Heater. A number of years later, Performance Solar began carrying a competitive brand of solar pool heaters, but later returned to once again offer Aquatherm products.
“We’re excited to take our business to the next level, and ready to grow the Ultrasun brand,” said Esposito. “We know we’ve got a premium product from a quality manufacturer. Now, we’re looking forward to setting up Dealers in the southwest, and helping them grow their business the same way Aquatherm has helped us grow ours.”
