The Aquatherm Master Dealer Program was conceived nearly 20 years ago to provide a distinction for the most elite solar pool heating contractors in the industry. To become a Master Dealer, a contractor must show excellence in both quality of installation and customer satisfaction.
Lakewood, NJ—The largest U.S. manufacturer of solar pool heaters, Aquatherm Industries, Inc., has named two new Solar Industries Master Dealers and one new Ecosun Master Dealer. The manufacturer’s Master Dealer Program was started in 1995 as a means to recognize exceptional installation quality, as well as excellence in customer satisfaction. The exclusive title has only been bestowed on a handful of Dealers through the years, with just under 40 Master Dealers currently positioned throughout The United States and Canada.
Benefits of becoming a Master Dealer include access to upgraded and supplemental product warranties, custom collector sizes, co-op advertising programs. The manufacturer also provides Master Dealers with Internet sales leads in their territory, as well as subsidized memberships to industry associations.

Pat Gallagher of Gallagher Solar Thermal has been the local solar expert in the Hudson Valley, New York since 2005, having decided to add solar pool heating to his services offered in 2007. Pat’s company installs both solar domestic water and pool heating systems, and also services and replaces existing systems. In 2010, at the AHRC Camp Loyaltown Summer Camp in Hunter, NY, Gallagher designed and installed what would become the largest solar water heating system in the region – over 4,800 square foot of solar collector area to heat the camp’s 9,000 square foot swimming pool.

In 2004, Mark Bortman, founder of Exact Solar, moved his family to Costa Rica for a year to learn more about alternative energy options. Founded in 2005 by Jesse Christink, Solar Wave specializes in the niche market of solar pool and domestic hot water heating. As a former employee of another solar pool heater manufacturer, it didn’t take long for Jesse to realize the power of solar heating. As a Finance graduate, Jesse was immediately drawn to the cost savings from solar, especially pool heating. After a six-year tenure with that manufacturer, Jesse started his own company selling, installing, and servicing solar water and pool heaters, as well as ancillary pool products like salt water chlorinators and automation systems.
